Short and long skills on Procertif

What is a short skill ?

Short skills correspond to a synthetic version of the skill.

They are used in two main cases :

  1. Quick display on the verification/authentication page of a certificate (when a third party views a certificate.
→ Allows you to give a clear and concise view of the skills validated by the candidate.

  2. Matching with assessments : The short skills are used as a reference to associate the results of the tests or
evaluation blocks with the expected skills..
→ They make it easy to automate tracking and reporting.

Example of use: on the public verification page, a recruiter directly sees the key skills validated, without going into
technical detail.

What is a long-term skill ?

Long skills include the full title of the competence (in particular those described in the RNCP or RSCH reference
framework). They make it possible to provide more precise and exhaustive information.

They appear in two areas of Procertif :

  1. New "Skills Detail" tab on the verification page :
→ Allows a third party (recruiter, organization, certifier) to consult the entire official description of the certified skills.

  2. Communication page (default) :
→ Long-term skills are included in the exports, certificates and official communications generated by Procertif.

Example of use: a certifying body or a recruiter can consult the full title of the competency to ensure that it
corresponds exactly to the RNCP or RSCH reference framework.

Why two formats (short or long) ?

Short skills make it easy to read quickly, display publicly, and link directly to assessments.

Long-term skills guarantee regulatory compliance by using the exact text of the standard..

The two are complementary: synthesis for everyday use and readability, detail for compliance and
traceability.
